A Family Campsite

Castle Camping Ltd is the perfect campsite for seasoned campers and first-timers. Located in the hills of Staffordshire, Castle Camping is perfectly situated to allow access to all manner of activities and facilities. The Boote Family, being experienced campers themselves, have identified and then satisfied every need a camper could have, providing a complete and stress-free experience for all those who come to stay.

Camping and Caravanning Club

Castle Camping Ltd is a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club, the oldest and largest club of its kind in the UK. The club has over 100 years of experience in providing camping facilities and activities, and is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for all campers. The club provides a range of benefits to its members, including access to over 100 club sites, exclusive discounts, and a range of camping-related services.

From the outstanding views of the local areas to the excellent transport links and supermarket access, Mow Cop serves as the prime location to explore the Stoke-on-Trent area. There is ample opportunity to observe the surrounding wildlife and even take a stroll down any of the three scenic footpaths that pass close to the campsite.

Local Walks

Three beautiful trails; The Gritstone Trail, The South Cheshire Way and The Staffordshire Way, closely pass the campsite.

Facilities

The toilet block contains 6 toilets, 4 free-to-use showers and washing up areas, it is cleaned daily by our wonderful staff and complimentary towels and fridge/freezer access are provided for your comfort.

Local Pubs

There are three great pubs within walking distance of our site; The Mow Inn, The Ash Inn and The Crown.

Camping Grounds

We currently have 5 level hardstandings, 5 fresh water points, an elsan point and a grey water point for caravanners and 15 electric hookup points for all.

*Unit is defined as a wheeled unit or large tent (over 2.3m x 2.3m) these include 2 adults and two children. **One per booking up to 3mx3m

Please Note:

  • We require a deposit to secure your reservation at our campsite. The deposit amount is based on the length of your stay:
    • For stays of one night: The deposit amount is equal to the full price of your stay.
    • For stays of more than one night: The deposit amount is approximately 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from the total cost of your reservation.
  • The remaining balance will be due upon arrival at our campsite.
  • Please inform us of your tent size when booking.
  • Children under 5 stay for free.
  • Groups will be required to pay a £10 per person behavior deposit on arrival, which will be returned if no issues are reported.
  • Day visitors are chargeable, so please let us know if you intend to have visitors upon arrival.
  • For bookings more than 1 week away, please use email.
  • All customers must be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to stay at our campsite. If you are not already a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club, the joining fee starts from £52.
